‘Le lobbying dans l’ère de Lisbonne’

In economic terms, the EU has no time to lose says Bellstedt and it is for this reason that Commission President José Manuel Barroso and Vice-President Günter Verheugen, with a specific industrial policy remit, have cited the Lisbon Process as a main plank of their work. The « Lisbon Process » label covers all Brussels-based initiatives designed to give the EU a major new impetus to economic growth – for example, by removing unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles, promoting new technologies and liberalizing markets.
